Child Support
Child support is the amount of money that one parent pays to the other parent for the maintenance and support of their child. In most cases, the amount of child support is determined by a mathematical formula that comports with the Statewide Uniform Guideline. In addition to the Statewide Uniform Guideline child support, California courts also require parents to contribute to the child’s unreimbursed medical expenses; and day care/child care costs if necessary for the parent(s) to go to work or obtain job training.
Farkhad & Wang’s experience enables us to assist our clients in determining the appropriate amount of child support. We also provide advice on current child support orders (if one already exists), as to if the order is still sufficient or needs to be modified. We will also assist our clients in enforcing their child support award.
